MCL Compressed Natural Gas (mCNG)

MCL Compressed Natural Gas (mCNG) is a premium enhanced gaseous fuel manufactured by high-grade biomethane.

MCL Compressed Natural Gas (mCNG) is a high-quality gaseous fuel produced by purifying biogas, resulting in renewable methane gas with a purity of up to 99%. mCNG is essentially the same as natural gas in terms of composition and energy potential. Because it is generated from biomass, it is considered a renewable energy source and can be used in place of CNG in various settings such as automobiles, industry, and commerce.

How it works

Bio-CNG is a form of CNG produced from biogas that boasts similar performance regarding vehicle fuel economy and emissions as regular CNG.

01

A biogas purification unit, multi-stage compressor, and high-pressure storage system are necessary to create a Bio-CNG station. Two storage systems are commonly used: the buffer storage system and the cascade storage system.

02

The buffer storage system maintains CNG pressure in the range of 20-25 MPa and provides CNG with a maximum pressure of 20 MPa to onboard vehicle cylinders. The cascade system includes three reservoirs with low, medium, and high pressure, respectively.

03

The cascade system consumes about 50% less energy than the buffer storage system, but it charges 20% less biogas and takes three times longer to fill. Therefore, the cascade system is more suitable for fleet time filling, which usually takes hours.

Advantages of mCNG

With the world's increasing focus on renewable energy sources, mCNG is a promising alternative fuel for transportation and industrial purposes due to its environmental friendliness, cost-effectiveness, and ease of transportation through cylinders or pipelines.

01

mCNG is a clean fuel that helps control air pollution and is non-polluting.

02

Cylinders or pipelines can easily transport mCNG, making it cost-effective.

03

mCNG outperforms fossil fuels in terms of efficiency, producing more heat energy when burned.

04

Compared to coal, mCNG is a clean fuel that does not emit smoke when burned, making it safer to use.

05

When used to fuel vehicles, mCNG is less likely to cause flames or an explosion, making it safer than other fuels like kerosene or petrol.

06

Natural gas engines and traditional engines perform similarly when fueled by mCNG, with comparable metrics such as acceleration, speed, and overall power.

Segments We Cover

mCNG can compete with conventional fossil fuels to provide equivalent performance, lower fuel prices, and be better for the environment and national security, plus work for all segments.
